C.H.I.E.F. - Our History
C.H.I.E.F. The original vision and idea for the Children’s Health & International Education Foundation was the desire and heartfelt dream of just one man.  Originally from England, David, after visiting and working in different areas around the world, has been in the U.S. since 1984.  After many years of observing situations throughout his lifetime, he realized and recognized how many children have been held back and unable to achieve their full potential, especially in impoverished societies and communities around the world.  Many times this was caused by family economic and financial difficulties where the children would have to quit school, or never able to even attend school, just to work to help the family survive.
After seeing this for many years, while on a business trip in 2003, a thought was dropped into David’s heart late one night and it became his burning desire, why not develop an organization that could minister to this need.  Why not create a way to take these children out of their present situation and place them in an environment to develop their full potential and leadership ability through instruction and training, while exposing them at the same time to that which they have never seen in their present circumstances, so they could realize what the true possibilities are, to give them a vision and a hope for the future.  That was the beginning of the vision and idea for such an organization as the Children’s Health & International Education Foundation.

C.H.I.E.F. Since that time David has been sharing his vision and desire to create such an organization with others, who have also caught the same vision as he has. Beginning in 2004, David, along with others who have embraced that same vision as their own, began actively pursuing and has accomplished much in the development of just such an endeavor. During 2005 and 2006 many days and evenings were spent discussing the vision for the Children’s Health & International Education Foundation and the facilities that would be needed to accomplish the vision and goal of properly educating and training 2000 disadvantaged children from around the world. Discussions centered on developing the site plan and facilities for the children’s foundation in such a way as to not only educate and train these children but also to develop the project from the perspective of bringing about worldwide exposure and recognition of the work being done to help these children from every corner of the earth.

C.H.I.E.F.

Therefore the C.H.I.E.F. facilities will not only be to house and school these disadvantaged children and adolescents from all around the globe but will also include a 430 bed state-of-the-art hospital and dental facilities for the care and well-being of the students while they are there for training, and for others who come there for treatment from the local area. The C.H.I.E.F. facilities are designed to house and school 2000 disadvantaged children and adolescents from around the world at one time. Other structures and amenities have been planned to be included in the C.H.I.E.F. facilities.  One is a 530 room 5-star hotel including an 18-hole Championship golf course to provide lodging and accommodations for many who will come from around the world to see the progress and success of the C.H.I.E.F. program at work while at the same time enjoying all the luxurious amenities planned for whichever location will finally be chosen for the home of the C.H.I.E.F. project.

C.H.I.E.F. - Will You Help?

Most of the planning for the C.H.I.E.F. facilities has already been done, with the site plan for the project complete as to all the structures that will be needed and where they are projected to be situated on the property. There have been several locations around the world that have been proposed and even property set aside for the C.H.I.E.F. project to be built. The founders of the Children’s Health & International Foundation have made several trips over the past few years and met with government officials, as well as private individuals in several countries around the world concerning the children’s foundation and their vision for disadvantaged children.

One such place that has designated over 800 acres of property for the C.H.I.E.F. project is the island country of St. Lucia in the Caribbean but the founders have decided for the safety of the children because of  possible hurricane activity in that region it would be best not to locate there. There is also property that has been proposed for the building of the C.H.I.E.F. project in the African country of Botswana, just north of South Africa and 3 different locations have been set aside and now made available in Nicaragua in Central America to build the project as well.  Very recently some of those involved with C.H.I.E.F. met with government officials of Ireland including the newly elected President and they have shown a strong desire and proposed property to be set aside for the C.H.I.E.F. project and facilities to be built in their country.

But most recently the founders of C.H.I.E.F. have been in serious discussions with the Native American Tribes in the Tulsa, Oklahoma area who have shown a real interest in committing and setting aside up to and maybe more than 3,000 acres of sovereign tribal land for the building and establishment of the Children’s Health & International Education Foundation facilities. In 2005, at the time of naming the children’s foundation with the resulting acronym of C.H.I.E.F., the founders had no idea they would be talking with the Native Americans at this present time concerning the establishment of the C.H.I.E.F. project and facilities on Indian Tribal Land. The founders will be making their final decision very soon on which of these 4 regional locations around the world will be chosen on which to build the C.H.I.E.F. project.
